Importing into Great Britain

Since leaving the EU, all cargoes arriving into the UK must now have some type of customs clearance performed for them.

To ensure we make the right declaration to HMRC on your behalf we will require information about your shipment and the specific paperwork surrounding its importation.

How does it all work?

Our team will provide a template of information we require and also guidance as to how you can not only get the information correct but also how you handle the payments to HMRC and to let you know the various option available.

For us to work on your behalf we will forward an appointment document in which you appoint Kleerfreight to be your representative on all clearance matters, there is also an account form which we will require completing to have full information on your business, once we have these returned we will  be able to assist you with all shipments regardless of which trailer or container company they may arrive through.

Many of the enquiries we have had since BREXIT have been from importers that had signed these appointment letters which then gave customs agents authorisation to enter goods on their behalf, importers having goods arrive for delivery without any notice or knowledge of arrival into the UK, no confirmation on what was to be paid or how to do it, agents had not even contacted importers to say do you actually want these goods, are they for you or to check if there is another person using your company details for fraudulent activity, rest assured nothing we declare is do so without your request.

Our customer base is a strong one with many importers returning to use our services due to our teams hard work and thorough efforts to ensure compliance, we will not undertake or submit any paperwork on your behalf without instruction to do so.
Customs tariff classifications, regimes, procedures and payments are our speciality, we will not be the cheapest option on the market but we will a partner interested in your business and its continued growth.
